KoS: Chapter 1
A repulsive smell rose up from the marsh through the humid air, accompanied by the sound of goopy, almost gelatinous bubbles popping with a squelch and a faint sulfuric aroma to add to the decaying stench of the swamp, in no way helping Adrielle's urge to run as fast as possible away from it.
The small group stood at the shore, enveloped in dense, thick fog, she with her hands clasped tightly to her mouth, and he with his resting on the hilt of his sword. The canines at their feet were eying the mire; Ansia with a cautious expression, as reluctant as her mistress to enter it, and Knofos with a somewhat irritated look in his blood red eyes as he sat obediently at his master's side. He looked over at the small white othrin, who was wrinkling her black nose at the scummy water. He glanced up at Daemon, and they exchanged a short, amused look at the reactions of the females in their charge.

On The Edge Prose
I have survived among the flames
I'm standing on the edge
the rock is my foundation
holding me from horrific agony
the heat is intense, lapping around
a short wall made of stone
emotions flare, most never seen
because many refuse to look
but if you see my face you'll notice
pain behind my eyes
the pain beats from a broken heart
that perhaps the flames can melt
Yet what else would burn
if I jumped into the flames
would my soul end in the fire?
or would the flames rebuild me
give me a new strength
so I could influence others to live
For now it's best I don't fall
or turn toward the fire
we should never touch a force
stronger than one we cannot control
At this moment I should just stand
on the edge
with long, straight and silver hair
and long pointy ears,
is an elf.
His eyes blended with
green and a silver sparkle
in the light of the full moon.
He is part of a beautiful elven race.
A kind to only come out at night,
the Moon elves.
He stands at a lake watching,
watching the gentle flow of the water.
Until he hears a rustle from the sleeping bushes.
He turns around around, drawing his bow and arrow,
targeting what could be a threat.
He sees no monster, but a human girl.
A girl no taller nor no shorter than him,
a girl who seems different to any other human
he has ever seen.
Although, he still stays alert,
just in case danger arises.
